A New Beginning

Hi everyone! This is a new idea of mine, outside of facebook, for only close family and friends. Our family blog will include what's happening in our life, pictures, videos etc, and facebook will be LESS of that. This blog is meant to be more intimate, including stuff that I would not put on facebook. Hope it goes over well and everyone follows along with us! In addition to this new blog journey, we are in process of hoping to start a career journey for myself, since I have graduated recently. I've redone my resume and am currently waiting to take state boards, and in process of working on taking my massage therapy boards as well to give me more tools under my belt. Everyone please keep me in your prayers that I find a job that is best for me and hopefully isn't to far of a drive. This is a small town, and I'm worried there aren't any left around here.

As many of you may know we were recently effected by Tropical Storm Debby, to the extent of being evacuated from our home for 5-6 weeks. We still cannot use our water for drinking or bathing Ayla, and have treated our well twice now. We are hoping the next time will be the charm. Debby also ruined my Honda Accord I had bought in February and I just recently bought a new one. Luckily our homes were not ruined on the inside. Our A/C duct work had to be replaced though and the house is going to have to be releveled. With the storm out there now, and according to the farmer's almanac another one following it in September, I'm praying this doesn't happen again.

We recently took a mini vacation to St Augustine for the weekend, and Ayla had her first real beach experience. She absolutely loved it. The salt and the sand didn't bother her a bit.

Ayla is growing like a weed. She is 15 months old, walking everywhere, climbing on everything, and her vocabulary consists of: Da (dad), Ma (mom), No!, Ay (Ace) and Goc (Doc) (our dogs), Paw Paw (Josh's dad), Get!, Uh oh!, Uh huh, Bye bye, hey, and many more that she makes her own. She is smart as a whip, she must get it from her mother :) . She finally loves it when you paint her toe nails. She will bring a bottle of polish to you and giggle the entire time you paint them. She is her MiMi's child! (Josh's mother, who gets pedicures all the time) :)  I just took some 15 month pictures of her in an outfit she got for her birthday. A yellow tank top with embellished rhinestones in the shape of a tractor with her name on it, and a green and yellow tutu, topped off with her camo boots. :) I will update the blog as often as possible, if not daily then weekly. Miss everyone that doesn't live here. And love you all.

    1. I am so proud of you for getting your education. When it comes to getting a job trust God to get you the job he has in mind for you. Lift it up to him and trust that it will happen. I know that God is in control of ya'll's life and if it is meant for you to get a house then everything will work out.I hope that we will be able to get together as a family again real soon or Thanksgiving like we did last year. I really miss seeing everybody. I love all of you and miss seeing everybody. Love your Aunt Donna
